Keep the motor casing, fan cover, and ventilation openings clean to prevent dust, oil stains, and fiber blockages from affecting heat dissipation.
Clean with a soft cloth or compressed air to avoid scratching the surface with hard objects or rinsing with high-pressure water (especially for non waterproof motors).
Ensure that the operating environment is dry, well ventilated, with a temperature not exceeding 40 ℃ and humidity below 65%.
Lubrication management
Lubrication cycle: Generally, lubricating grease should be replenished or replaced after running for about 5000 hours; If the bearing overheats, makes abnormal noises, or the lubricating grease deteriorates, it should be replaced immediately.
Fating amount: Fill 1/2 of the bearing chamber volume for 2-pole motors and 2/3 for 4/6/8-pole motors; Use suitable models such as ZL-3 lithium grease.
Before changing the grease, it is necessary to clean the old oil with gasoline or kerosene to avoid mixing different brands of grease.
Operation status monitoring ("see, listen, touch, measure")
Check whether the current is overloaded, whether the wiring is loose, whether the grounding is reliable, whether there is water or oil leakage, and whether the fan is normal.
Listen: Monitor for any abnormal noise (such as buzzing, sizzling, or creaking) to determine if there is a lack of oil, foreign objects, or winding failure in the bearings.
Touch: Use the back of your hand or a thermometer to check the temperature of the casing. If the temperature rises too high (exceeding the allowable insulation level), stop the machine for troubleshooting.
Measurement: Regularly measure the three-phase current with a clamp meter, and the imbalance should be less than 3%; Measure the insulation resistance with a megohmmeter (for low-voltage motors ≥ 0.5M Ω).
Tightening and mechanical inspection
Regularly check whether the anchor bolts, end cap bolts, couplings, etc. are loose to prevent chamber sweeping or phase breakage caused by vibration.
If the bearing reaches the end of its service life (radial clearance exceeds the standard), it should be replaced in a timely manner to avoid burning the winding by "sweeping the bore".
